Appointment Setter/BDR

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Appointment Setter/BDR to generate leads and schedule qualified appointments, supporting our business development goals. This role involves high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, email outreach, and LinkedIn messaging. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas, is skilled in leveraging sales tools, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Core Tasks

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through cold-calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn messaging to generate new leads.
  • Qualify potential clients through initial phone or email conversations, ensuring they align with the company’s target customer profile.
  • Schedule and book qualified appointments directly on the client’s calendar, adhering to established qualification criteria.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of outreach efforts, leads, and booked appointments in the CRM system (e.g., PipeDrive or HubSpot).
  • Track key metrics, such as response rates and appointment conversion rates, to continuously improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team Leader to optimize messaging, outreach strategies, and prospecting tools.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and the company’s value proposition to effectively communicate with prospects.

Must Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in an outbound sales or appointment-setting role, preferably in the recruiting/staffing industry.
  • Prior experience in cold calling potential clients
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed appointment-setting quotas consistently.
  • Proficiency in using sales tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, or similar platforms for lead generation.
  • Experience with CRMs such as HubSpot or PipeDrive for managing and tracking outreach efforts.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling outreach messages.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and data analysis.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with telephony tools like Dialpad for cold-calling campaigns.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment or with small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
  • Knowledge of the alternative lending or business funding landscape.
