Creative Director

About the Role

The Creative Director is a key contributor within our organization, reporting directly to the CEO.
This role actively contributes to shaping the visual identity and creative direction of our products
with a focus on Amazon.
Additionally, the Creative Director provides valuable design support to the Product Development
Department, influencing the branding and visual aspects of products prior to manufacturing.

Core Tasks

  • Develop and implement creative strategies that are integrated with marketing and sales
    objectives with a strong focus on CRO
  • Oversee the production of content that encompasses graphics, videos, and other
    multimedia elements, ensuring all content supports marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Copywriting: Execute and / or oversee all copywriting and creative direction
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual elements across
    all channels and product listings to strengthen brand recognition
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and Amazon
    algorithms to optimize content for search, discoverability, and conversion
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development,
    Brand Management, Launches, and other relevant departments, to align creative
    strategies with overall business goals
  • Oversee and manage all print and digital assets
  • A/B Testing/Polls: Conduct A/B testing/polls on various creatives to optimize content
    performance and conversion rates.
  • Compliance: Stay informed about and adhere to Amazon’s policies and guidelines for
    product listings and creative content.
  • LMA: Lead, manage, and hold accountable designers and freelancers
  • Improved Conversion Rates: Develop and implement strategies that lead to a
    measurable increase in clickthrough rates, and improved conversion rates on Amazon
    product listings
  • Enhanced Brand Presence: Elevate the brand image on Amazon through consistent and
    visually appealing product representations, fostering increased brand recognition among
    online shoppers
  • Successful Product Branding: Contribute to the successful branding and visual
    representation of products in collaboration with the Product Development team, ensuring
    that the brand maintains a distinctive and memorable identity
  • Leadership in Creative Direction: Take a leadership role in steering the creative direction
    for the brand on Amazon, setting industry standards for compelling and innovative
    product presentations
  • Project Management: Ensuring all projects are properly planned and deadlines are
    strictly adhered to

Must Haves:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a manager of a creative / graphic design team,
    preferably in e-commerce or retail
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Understanding of e-commerce and Amazon platform dynamics
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central and its functionalities
  • Experience in managing people, and demonstrating effective leadership in a creative
    context
  • Proficient in managing design schedules, ensuring timely delivery of assets
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to produce innovative and effective content
  • Ability to adapt to changes in Amazon algorithms and policies
